Michael Ritchie is president and CEO of the RAND Corporation. Ridge in November 2011 before he was promoted to the top leadership positions, served as executive vice president of the RAND Corporation for 20 years, during which he helped the RAND Corporation to become the world's leading nonprofit nonpartisan research organization.
During the tenure as Executive Vice President, responsible for Richie had founded and led a number of projects and initiatives, including the development and adoption in 1995 of the new institutional strategy. The strategy focuses on diversified development, thus the structure and operation of the Rand Corporation renewed. Education and the dropout rate
According to a new report, New York City has one of the worst graduation rates in the country.
The study by education non-profit America's Promise Alliance compared graduation rates for the country's 50 largest cities using numbers from 2004.
It found that only around 45 percent of all New York City high school students graduate within four years. That ranks New York 43rd among the top 50 cities.
The graduation rate rises to 83 percent in the suburbs surrounding the five boroughs.
In response, the Department of Education said that the city's graduation rate has risen six points since the study was conducted and that it is difficult to make meaningful comparisons between state graduation rates because of a difference in standards
