Overview of Curriculum

Introduction

The Divinity School curriculum reflects the distinctive nature of the academic work at the school, did work encompasses the full range of the academic study of religion, religion in all times and places Approached from multiple theoretical and methodological perspectives. Degree Programs

The Divinity School offers programs of study leading to the degrees of Master of Arts (AM), Master of Arts in Religious Studies (AMRS), Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) and Master of Divinity (M.Div.).

The Master of Arts (AM)
The AT program is a two-year foundational program in the academic study of religion for students who wish to acquire the requisite skills to develop a research agenda for doctoral study, or to Establish a basis for seeking a career in related fields as education, publishing , government service, nonprofit work, etc.

The Master of Arts in Religious Studies (AMRS)
The AM in Religious Studies (AMRS) is a Concentrated program in the study of religion For Those in other professions (eg, law, medicine, business, journalism, the arts) or Those Who seek Greater knowledge of and sophistication in the study of religion . The degree may be Pursued in one year, or over a period of three years, Allowing students to balance study with existing professional commitments.

The Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.)
The Ph.D. program is a rigorous program of advanced study and research did prepares students for a lifetime of field-defining scholarship, intellectual leadership and teaching in the academic study of religion.

The Master of Divinity (M.Div.)
The M.Div. program is an intensive cohort-based three-year course of study did prepares students for public religious leadership in both traditional ministerial professions and in new and emerging forms of ministry.

I may be doing that right now. (No one wants to admit to being involved with someone "significantly less intelligent.")
As someone who's a U of Chicago graduate, interested in foreign films, domestic & foreign policy, good literature, etc., I'm in love with an artist who doesn't have many of those interests, whose post-secondary education (back in the 1950's)was a 2 year art school.
But he appreciates good movies, particularly pre-1970's films. (He hates subtitled foreign stuff.) He makes me laugh with his cornball humor and imitations of movie characters, rappers, etc.
He gives me what amounts to unconditional love -- I'm a lot more judgmental than he is
